EUIC Vlora

On June 12th 2013 in the occasion of 20th Anniversary of the EU Single Market and economic integration in the EU, the European Union Information Center in Vlora organized a information session on" EU Single Market". The purpose of this activity was to inform the participants about the creation and advantages of the EU Single Market. They were provided with a historical overview on steps which concluded in 1992 with the removal of the barriers for the free movement of people, goods and services within the EU countries. 

On 3rd of June 2013, in the premises of EUIC Vlora, the CRCD (Center for Research, Cooperation and Development) organized the Workshop "Civic Observers for Health and Environment: Initiative for Responsibility and Sustainability". This activity targeted 25 representatives of civil society organizations and was organized in the framework of the Project "Europe for Citizens", funded by the European Union, in collaboration with the main partner ALDA (Association of Local Democracy Agencies) and other European partners. Ms. Madlina Puka, Executive Director of CRCD introduced the project to the participants.

On 31st of May 2013, the staff of EUIC Vlora organized the 8th session of the structured training about the "EU Institutions and Policies", which is taking place from October 2012 to May 2013. The training, organized in cooperation with Vlora Regional Education Directorate, involves high schools students of this region and will conclude with a test on knowledge gained during this training. The session was the last part of a series of 8 lectures on EU topics and aimed to increase knowledge on EU among youth. This session's topic was focused on "EU's common agricultural policy". Participants to the training included students from high school "Ali Demi", Mustafa Qemal Ataturk" and "Jani Minga".
